Welcome to the Home of the Scorpions

125th Washington's Birthday Match

The longest running rifle match in the nation will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Ben Avery Shooting Facility, in Phoenix, Arizona. Please come out to support the Arizona Scorpions Junior High Power Team. Our Juniors are looking for a Three-peat.

We have plenty of food, commemorative t-shirts, and products from various vendors.

The M1 rifle will be raffled off shortly after the Awards Ceremony. There will be smaller consolation prizes for second and third place.

From the office of Congressman Paul Gosar, AZ-4

Arizona is incredibly blessed to have so many young men and women who are willing to answer the call to serve their country. Sarah Nguyen from Prescott Valley, AZ is one of those leaders who has recently accepted her appointment to the United States Naval Academy. Among her many accolades, my favorite is that she is an award-winning member of the AZ Scorpions Junior High Power Rifle Team. I am so proud of Sarah and you should be too! LIKE and SHARE this post to join me in congratulating this future midshipmen on this amazing achievement. GO NAVY!

The 2016 Scorpions at Camp Perry, Ohio.

The Arizona Scorpions Junior High Power Rifle Team is sponsored by the Arizona State Rifle & Pistol Association (ASRPA). The team is open to NRA HP classified Arizona youth between the ages of 14 and 20. Team members shoot local matches during the season (Sept - May), practice like crazy June & July, and participate at the National Rifle Matches at Camp Perry, Ohio in August.

Juniors are encouraged to own their own equipment. While determining what is best to own, most equipment including AR-15 rifles, chambered in .223, are provided free of charge. The kids get to assemble their own ammunition using bullets from Sierra, powder from Hodgdon.
